JUNE 29 Day #5 and It ends with a SPLASH




Today we started the day warming up on tread mills, bikes, and other cool machines at the Spring House gym. We then tried our hand at a true core session which was met with resistance from the crew of young ladies, and I was not up for that battle:) 5 against one you know. So we headed to the pool for a dunk before heading out to Tater Hill Golf course where the girls had an hour lesson with instructor Bryan. He was great and even let then ride the cart and actually play a hole!! Then we went into the club house like members and ate a true golf lunch of burgers and GRILLED hotdogs. The heat hit hard and we took off for buttermilk falls where all the girls took the plunge. I guess after seeing little Rocks leap they were now ready for Buttermilk!!!:) What a great week with the girls, Keep working out!!!!!!!!

JUNE 28th DAY #4 Camp Strength and leaping




We had great weather today and it was nice to workout outside!!
We did a strength workout in the AM consisting of a rubber band stepping session. Then we did hill sprints and partner carrys with some bounding. We moved on to chain running and pushing My KIA!!!!!
We Then loaded the team and headed to Little rock pond for some hiking and swimming. Lunch at the pond on the rocks. The leap was tough and some took it!!!!!:)

June 27 Day #3 Camp




Well we were able to beat the rain again and make a great day of it. We went to the Spring House for mobility warm up, a plyo (jumping session) and then hit the Brucie ball court. Athletes were able to focus on good form and athletic stance in their jumps. I let the athletes hit the pool for some B ball and fun before we went back to OMS for lunch and hit the road for a workout at a cool gymnastics studio. Mariel lead the kids in some awesome movement and tumbling drills. She also was able to have a little routine for all kinds of equipment at the gym, from a ceiling rope climb to a tumble tramp track. Lots of great tricks were had by the kids!!!

JUNE 26th Busy day!!!!




Day #2 of Kick off camp was awesome despite the weather. We warmed up our bodys and then hit the vans to take us to the climbing walls. They took to it like spider monkeys. Really great effort and climbing by all. Then we loaded again and headed to Riley rink for skating. It was nice to feel like winter again and even the beginners where flying around by the end of the time. Fun was had by all! Not Done, We then headed back to OMS and the Spring house for some Balance circuits. Kids where standing on the Physio ball!! SO COOL!!!

JUNE 25 2012 KICK OFF CAMP




Hello all we had a great first day of Camp. We started our day with a team meeting and went over to the Spring house for some Mobility warm up and Agility work. The athletes worked the X drill and we used a Ladder for foot speed drills. Brucie ball was played by all and again was a hit with the athletes! We then ate lunch at OMS before heading up to ascend OKEMO on foot. The thunder turned us back closer to the top then the bottom and the sun shone hard at the base of our retreat. So with the nice weather we ran over to Buttermilk falls for a dip before heading to the pool for some reasonably temp water.
